Do you want to Hack a computer and win a prize? Test your skills against other students during The 2nd Annual Raspberry Pi Hack Contest kicking off this week. Sign up your team in room 292 with Mr. Provenzano this week before all of the space have been filled. There will be a meeting on Thursday in room 292 to get your hacker kit.
The mother’s club will be having Scholarship interviews beginning on Tuesday, April 18th. Seniors who submitted a Mothers’ Club scholarship application please stop by the counseling center to sign up for an interview time.
ALL students currently taking a Spanish class: World Language Week will be April 24th-28th this year and we have some great t-shirts to represent the Spanish language!! The online cart for purchase a shirt closes on April 3rd!
All current high school students are invited to audition for the award-winning choral ensembles at South that include, Sounds of South, South Singers, The Tower Belles and The Pointe Singers. If you are not a current student in choir, but would like to audition for one of the choirs, please come to open auditions today in the South Choir Room (Room 23) at 3:15 PM. Audition packets are available online at www.gpsouthchoir.org or you can pick-up information in the choir room.
The Spanish Club will be selling unique, colorful, hand-woven bracelets, called pulseras in Spanish, for only $5 during both lunches all this week. Come get your bracelet! The Pulsera Project is a non-profit organization that educates, empowers and connects Nicaraguan artists with students across the United States.

South opened the season in exciting fashion with a 6-4 win over Lakeview. Grace Foster had two home runs and 3 RBIs, Kendall Volpe broke open a tie game in the 7th inning with a two run double. Lauren Sancya, Jyen-ai Jones, and Julia O'Halla all had key hits. Adriana Agosta struck out 4 in a winning performance and was helped by the defense of Chloe Lobert, Colleen Morris, and Mackenzie Ford. South plays Warren Woods Tower at home tomorrow at 4:30 pm
