Calling All Gardeners!

The Full Circle Urban Garden Kick Off Event will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 11am to 1pm at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center North, 18300 E. Warren Ave in Detroit. Full Circle Urban Garden is an organic garden created for the purpose of teaching special needs young adults to plant, grow, maintain, and harvest organic produce.

Bring your gardening tools and join Full Circle along with Services for Older Citizens, Beaumont, the Grosse Pointe Rotary, and the Grosse Pointe Schools in planting the garden with fruits, flowers, and vegetables benefiting the seniors at Services for Older Citizens – rain or shine.  SERVE is a GPPSS resource partnership designed to make it easy for students to participate in volunteer activities.

SERVE uses Kalpa Systems to maintain a catalog of student volunteer opportunities and to keep records of student volunteer hours.
