On November 4, 2014, residents of the Grosse Pointe Public School System will be asked to vote on two millage proposals that renew or replace existing millages for five more years. These account for 25% of the school system’s  operating budget (approximately $25 million). All of the money raised directly benefits only Grosse Pointe Public School students, not the county or state. Even if both pass, school tax rates are projected to continue to decline.
