AP Environmental Science and AP Biology students: Are you interested in studying Marine Biology? We are planning a trip to Sea Camp in the Florida Keys during February break, and want you to join us. A very brief informational meeting will be held this Thursday right after school in Room 260 to learn more about the details of the trip.
Class of 2019 – Today’s sophomore float party is scheduled from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. Assistance is needed with float construction. So if you can or cannot swing a hammer, have a love/hate relationship with power tools, we’d love for you to come and help out. And as always, refreshments will be served and you will be entered into a raffle for the opportunity to win two Homecoming Dance tickets and a gift basket loaded with great items from local businesses.
Sophomore spirit pack distribution is schedule for tomorrow – Tuesday, September 27th in Cleminson Hall beginning before school, during both lunches and after school until 3:30 p.m. Bring school ID when picking up your packet.

It’s that season! Homecoming tickets are for sale today during first and second lunch in the main hall. They will NOT be sold before or after school and tickets will NOT be sold at the door. The tickets are 10 dollars each. If you are planning to bring a guest, a form must be filled out by your guests administrator and faxed to South in order to be able to purchase their ticket.

Sports:On Saturday the Boys Varsity Tennis team competed in an eight team tennis tournament at Grosse Pointe South, Grosse Pointe North and Liggett. Grosse Pointe South finished in second place behind Ann Arbor Pioneer. John Sullivan won at #2 singles, Michael Willard came in second place at #4 singles. Consolation winners were #3 singles Sean Miller and #3 doubles David Scupholm & Will George. Congratulations on a great tournament!
