    Congratulations to the gymnastics team for winning the League Championships!  Grosse Pointe Gymnasts also won multiple individual titles - Isabelle N won the division 1 all-around, vault, bars, and floor championships, Maria N won the division 1 beam and floor championships and Michelle E won the division 2 all-around, bars, and floor titles. Gyanei' J also finished second in division 2 all-around and Brenna B, Chandler M, and Rachel R all medalled in several events.

School News:
Are you interested in running for a senator position for the 2015-2016 school year?  There are senator positions available for class councils & SA.  If you are interested, make sure to attend one of the two MANDATORY meetings the week we return from spring break! Please come on Monday, April 13th after school or on Wednesday, April 15th before school at 7:15 in the auditorium.  If you want to run for a senator position, you must attend one of these meetings!  

Congratulations to the Choir students who performed this last weekend at States in Avondale! South Choir students received 3 good ratings, 11 Excellent and 3 Excellent with superior distinction! Senior, David Gilbert was selected as an alternate soloist to the Michigan Youth Arts Festival in May!

Club News:
Any students interested in joining Link Crew next year, applications must be turned in to Ms. Rabidoux, Mr. Pascoe, or Mrs. Lauer before spring break.

Students who received a Generation of Promise application, the deadline to turn the applications in, have been extended to Tuesday, March 31st. The applications need to be in to the Student Activities Office by 3:15 today.

Please remember to bring in children's books to your English classrooms this week. We'll help these books find new readers to enjoy them, here and overseas. Thank you!

Congratulations to the Gearheads robotics team on their 2nd place finish this past weekend at the Centerline District Competition. They finished the round robin play with the number 2 seed and took that all the way to the finals, unfortunately losing 2 out of 3 finishing 2nd out of the 40 teams in attendance. The Gearheads finished the regular season ranked 17th in the state and are headed to the state finals and then the world tournament. Congratulations Gearheads! Also, Tonight at Which Wich between 4 and 9 PM there is a fundraiser for the Grosse Pointe Gearheads robotics team on their way to the World Robotics Tournament. So come on down and get some good eats and support a good team.

Sports:
If you are still thinking of joining the men’s track team you must see Coach Schienke in the field room at the track after school or Coach Pascoe in room 192 this week before the break starts.

The JV Softball Team won their first game of the season yesterday against Sterling Heights HS. Congratulations on their outstanding performance with the final score 19-11

The Girls Varsity Softball team opened play with a 16-0 victory over Sterling Heights.  Emma St. John pitched a no-hitter and had 13 strikeouts.  The hitting attack was led by Lauren Sancya, Cam Zihlman, Eliza Bourke, and Emma St. John.
