GPP Okulski Theater Project We had the opportunity to create the opening reel for the Okulski Theatre this past May. The Grosse Pointe News wrote an article on the collaboration. I would like to thank Mary Beth Hathaway and the rest of the staff at the Okulski Theatre and Activity Center at the Windmill Pointe Park for allowing the students to feature their talents on the big screen.

Get your copy of the 2011 Video Yearbook and Graduation DVD We are in the process of capturing the events of the 2010 / 2011 school year. Students have the opportunity to order either the Graduation DVD or Video Yearbook or both! The DVDs can be ordered during registration and during the school year.
TV Production 2 = Computer Credit Now that television production relies on computer technology more than ever, the second level television production class is now also considered to fulfill the computer competency credit for graduation. All production classes also can fulfill your Visual Arts requirement. This exciting change was made during the November 2009 EPLC meeting. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Geresy in Room 45 - the Digital Media Lab.
Upgrades to the TV Production Program! Exciting Times Ahead... We are in an exciting time in TV Production. The program has upgraded the control room and editing this summer. For editing, we have decided to stick with the AVID editing line. Either though Final Cut is making a name for themselves in the film and television industry, AVID is still industry accepted editing system for computer based non-linear editing. Also, Avid Media Composer can be purchased with academic pricing which allows our students to also have the software at home for a modest price. Our control room is getting an overhaul in preparation for HD in the future. We are upgrading our 18 year old switcher for the Broadcaster Pix 1000G system. This will allow us to have professional transition, graphics and video clip playback in one unit. It also provides us the opportunity to do more things with virtual sets. There will be a learning curve, but the benefits attached to this upgrade should have a major impact for the program.
