KFC Colonel's Scholars

Deadline:  February 10, 2010

Students must be enrolling in a public college or university
within their state of legal residence. Requirements: A minimum
GPA of 2.75, pursuing a bachelor's degree, demonstrate
financial need, be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

Michigan Education Association Scholarship

Award:  Number and Amount to be determined

       (Last year's 34 scholarships totaled $26,500)

Deadline: February 12, 2010

Senior student who is graduating from a Michigan public high
school, and will attend a Michigan public community, junior
college or four year degree granting institution or vocational
training.  There are some private colleges and universities that
are also eligible, see application.  All other criteria being equal,
first consideration will be given to children of MEA members
and students from lower income households.   For more

 DECA's 2010 Scholarship Guide

Award:  Various from 10 different organizations

Deadline:  February 12, 2010

These scholarship opportunities are exclusively for members of
DECA.  Some applications require employee status with the
company offering the scholarship.  Applications must be
submitted with proof of membership to DECA.  For more details

Award:  $5000

National Commission for Cooperative Education

Award:  170 $6000 renewable awards

Deadline:  February 15, 2010

Additional information on this program and application on-line
can be located at the NCCE website at WWW.co-op.edu   To be
eligible for a merit co-op scholarship the student must apply
and be admitted to one of the following eight
colleges or universities: 
Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University,
Kettering University, Pace University,
Rochester Institute of Technology,
University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo,
or Wentworth Institute of Technology.
 
 
H.T. Ewald Foundation
Award: Scholarship Varies
Deadline: March 1, 2010
The H.T. Ewald Foundation believes strongly that education shapes the future of our communities. Through financial aid and ongoing mentoring relationships, we primarily support Southeastern Michigan high school seniors who seek opportunities for higher learning.
