Welcome to Mrs. Sexton's web site!  Click one of the links in the left margin to access other pages in this site. Students, please check the Daily Work page for your class and hour if you are absent.  You should see me if you have any questions.  Parents, the Daily Work pages are a great way to see what your child has been doing in class.  The Notes and Handouts pages have some information presented and/or handed out in class. You may have to scroll down to find the information since items may be added daily.   I've added an ACT Practice page where I will post helpful information and links to the ACT website.

{Heart} February Tip:  "You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." Buddha

{Penguin}  January Tip:  "Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man." Benjamin Franklin

{candy canes} December Tip:   "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." Winston Churchill

{turkey} November Tip:   "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." John Fitzgerald Kennedy

{pumpkin} October Tip: Look for a better way...carve your pumpkin from the bottom! It's easier to get the seeds and "stuff" out; you can still carry it by the stem; it's easier to "light"--just put it over the candle. (from Dan Gilbert,Chairman and founder of Quicken Loans, new team orientation and Isms)

{welcome } September Tip:  Rid yourself of last year's oversights and start fresh and new!  Don't put off until tomorrow, what you could (and should and need) to do today.

PLEASE NOTE:  I have individual daily work pages for each of the courses I teach.  On the daily work pages, I have placed the most current day's work first with any homework that was assigned.   My hope is this will make it easier to see what was done in class each day, and still allow parents and students to scroll down to see what was done on previous days.

*****When checking grades, please remember that some English assignments take longer to grade than others.  A blank means the assignment has not been entered.  A zero (0) means the student earned zero points.  A "Z" means the student did not turn in the assignment. *****
