John Steininger was elected to the Board in November 2007. He is a lifelong resident of the Grosse Pointes and a 1968 Graduate of Grosse Pointe High School. He earned a B.S in Education and a teaching certificate from Wayne State University in 1974. In the mid-1970’s he founded Grosse Pointe Moving & Storage, a local business that serves the Detroit metropolitan area. Mr. Steininger is a board member of the Grosse Pointe South Gridiron Club and the creator of the GP South Blue Devils Coupon Book. He resides in Grosse Pointe Farms and is the father of one son who graduated from GP South in June 2007. His term expires December 31, 2011. |

Joan Dindoffer was first elected to the Board in June 1997. She holds a B. A. in political science from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School. She is currently Vice President in the Wealth and Institutional Management Division of Comerica Bank, and serves on the Tax Council of the State Bar of Michigan. Ms. Dindoffer has been awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Michigan Association of School Boards, having completed board certification and training. She and her husband, Fred, live in Grosse Pointe Park and are the parents of three recent Grosse Pointe South graduates. Ms. Dindoffer was Board Secretary from 1997-00, Vice-President from 2000-02, President from 2002-04, and Treasurer from 2005-06, and Secretary 2009. Her term expires December 31, 2013. |

Brendan Walsh was first appointed to the Board in August 2005, then elected to a four-year seat in May 2006. He is a lifelong resident of Grosse Pointe Park and a Grosse Pointe South graduate. Mr. Walsh earned a B.A. and a teacher's certificate (English, Latin) from the University of Michigan -Ann Arbor. Mr. Walsh taught at the high school level before entering the private sector. He is a consultant for a publicly held information technology firm. Mr. Walsh and his wife Sarah are the parents of three children who attend Defer Elementary. His term expires December 31, 2010. |

Judy Gafa graduated from Madonna University with a BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) and a minor in Natural Science. She started her Nursing career at Beaumont Hospital in ICU and Critical Care and currently works as the Wellness Nurse at Sunrise Assisted Living on Mack in Grosse Pointe Woods. She lives in Grosse Pointe Woods, with husband Kenneth and 3 children who attend Grosse Pointe Schools. Judy was elected to the Board in November, 2008, and her term expires on December 31, 2012. |

Tom Jakubiec was elected to the Board in November 2009. He is a resident of Grosse Pointe Woods with his wife, Biljana, and their two sons. He and his wife are active members of the Ferry Elementary PTO where their two sons attend and he has also been active in both the Neighborhood Club and Little League team sports. Mr. Jakubiec holds a B.B.A. in Business Analysis from Texas A&M University and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University. He is looking forward to using his experience from EDS, Toyota, and General Motors, along with input from the residents and school district staff, to maintain the total learning experience for the district's resident children. His term expires December 31, 2013. |

Fred Minturn was elected to the Board in May 2006. He is a resident of Grosse Pointe Shores and also serves on the Shores Council. Fred is also a Grosse Pointe North graduate. Mr. Minturn earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from Western Michigan University. Currently he is the Chief Financial Officer of a multi-national corporation. Mr. Minturn and his wife Michelle are the parents of three children, all North graduates. His term expires December 31, 2011. |

Cindy Pangborn was elected to the Board in November, 2009. She previously served on the Board from 1996-2000. As an active volunteer for our school system, Cindy personally televised the Board meetings for five years until the school system was able to televise them. Mrs. Pangborn is a lifelong resident of Grosse Pointe and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1964. Cindy and her husband Jim have raised four children. They all attended Grosse Pointe Public Schools graduating from Grosse Pointe South in '88, '93, '95 and 2005. Cindy is a Realtor with Johnstone and Johnstone Real Estate and is a certified specialist in short sales and foreclosures. Her term expires December 31, 2012. |
